SmartMom

SmartMom® is Canada’s first prenatal education program delivered by text messaging and is endorsed by the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist of Canada (SOGC).

SmartMom® provides evidence-based information about healthy pregnancy and birth timed to stage of pregnancy. The program also helps direct expectant parents to local, regional and provincial services and resources.

Text messages include information on topics such as fetal growth and development, options for screening in pregnancy, and preparation for labour and delivery. SmartMom® also suggests topics to discuss with care providers.
